Fairy tale love story ends in a beautiful wedding Mass in Columbus, OH
The Kramers
Things don’t have to be complicated. That’s the message that came over me while I filmed Brian & Melissa.
I sat down with this pair in their future house in North Columbus. Noticeable was their courage in being recorded because of their natural shyness around cameras - but that didn’t dilute their rich history together whatsoever. Partially the courage was in inviting someone to come into their house and prompt them to be themselves and remember things.
But what Brian & Melissa excel at is ultimately not being afraid of who they are. They shared some real struggles and even greater ecstasies on their journey to becoming one. Instead of being afraid of not being enough on screen by having certain reactions or responses or the right wording, you can see how they allow God to use them just where they are.
To those who are leery of the camera lens: you are the gift way more than what you offer. What people need to see of this couple is through their stumbling in their weaknesses their hearts are turned to what Jesus is doing in them. No offense is given to what one another is lacking: honor is upheld where it is held.
In short, Brian & Melissa walk out Jesus’ forgiveness marvelously. What forgiveness leads to is freedom: freedom to be yourself and freedom to let others be themselves.
Watch them choose to forgive & bless as they get married at St Brendan Catholic Church in Hilliard and celebrate the occasion with a reception at the Pontifical College’s Jessing Center.
